"I finally took my head out of the sand and freed up my nostrils and filled them with good, clean air, and that good clean air was called Doing Something for Someone Else." -Norma Jean McKeldin, diagnosed age 39

View Article  Warriors in Pink...
"Bang the drum. Paint your face. Run. Walk. Fight for the cure.

Ford and your Ford dealer are recruiting Warriors to help ramp up the fight against breast cancer. Ford Warriors in Pink can be found at the Komen Race for the CureĀ® events as always, only now they will arrive as a united front, as one in Warrior gear.

Learn about the special meaning behind the Warrior in Pink symbols or read the published articles about these strong individuals all across America below."

Unfortunately they've already done the Race for the Cure here in Tampa this past Oct. But you can be sure I'll be checking back often to see when next years will be. You can also add a message to their virtual quilt at their site. Neat idea!

View Article  Go Danon!!!!!
I just checked my old donation page for the 3 day for 2006 (which will be gone soon) and started checking other walkers that I know or met during the walk. My fellow walker and tentmate Danon made an awesome amount of money to the tune of $7155.00!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!! She put so much time and energy into her fundraising, I admire her for that. She did a golf tournament and raised something like $5000.00 from that alone. Now to just get her to walk next year with us!!!

I have a few ideas for fundraising myself. Once the New Year is upon us I'll start then.
