"I finally took my head out of the sand and freed up my nostrils and filled them with good, clean air, and that good clean air was called Doing Something for Someone Else." -Norma Jean McKeldin, diagnosed age 39

View Article  My next challenge...
So, I started working on my 1st health challenge this morning by going for a nice walk. My next challenge is to start drinking loads of water everyday! And to have it drank by 6pm so I'm not up all night having to go to the bathroom. So far today I've only drank 16.9 ounces. Not too good considering it's already 12:25pm. I know what I need to do - wake up in the morning and just fill up my water bottle and start drinking. Maybe if I keep the water bottle next to the coffee maker in the kitchen that will remind me? So that when I'm making the kids lunches every morning I see it and will fill it up and start drinking.(?) Alright, I'll try that tomorrow morning and see how it works!
View Article  Wii Fit!
Have you seen or heard about this new game for Wii? It's called Wii Fit and it looks awesome! You can do aerobics with it, Yoga, muscle stretching or even games. It's got something on it for the whole family. You can even learn some dance moves it looks like. I already have Yourself Fitness for the PlayStation (which I LOVE) but we might have to go and get this too considering everyone in the family can benefit from it. It comes with the Balance Board. If anyone out there already has it (not sure when it's available to buy) let me know how you like it.
View Article  Tired of feeling tired!
Does that title make any sense? LOL I am so tired right now, but I know if I go back to bed I won't sleep because everything I should be doing would be running around in my head. I have major aftermath PMS (if that makes sense) and I'm just dragging right now. It didn't help that the sleeping aid I took last night made me all foggy headed this morning. Or Kieran getting up twice last night didn't help either. I'm just tired of feeling so tired all of the time. I'm thinking if I set a time to go to bed every night and wake up at the same time every morning maybe eventually the sleepiness will go away. That and adding exercise to my day just might help!
View Article  Lap Band Surgery...
If you live in or around the Los Angeles area and are trying to get information on the Lap Band surgery itself, why not try lap band los angeles through Journey Lite? Journey Lite is a company that specializes in this kind of surgery. They are one of the leading specialists in this type of surgery and from what I've heard, they truly care about their patients. For those of you that are looking for weight loss options but aren't sure what Lap Band surgery is, it stands for Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding. During the procedure, the surgeon uses laparoscopic techniques by making tiny incisions to insert a long shafted instruments into the upper part of the stomach. These instruments are used to wrap the inflatable silicone band around the upper part of the stomach. This then creates a new stomach pouch which limits and controls the amount of food eaten. So you then feel full and satisfied during meal time much more quickly then normal. And that results in weight loss.

At Journey Lite they are all about making the patient as comfortable as possible. They have a great, soothing environment with chairs that have no arms, wider hallways, roomier gowns and restrooms with handicap railings for support. They help the whole process go smoothly and make sure you are as comfortable as can be the entire time!
View Article  Headaches...
I've been getting such headaches lately. Not sure if it's from being so tense, the stress of Sean leaving in a few days or the stress I'm feeling off of some people for the cup this coming weekend. Either way, I guess I'll know if it is stress related the beginning of next week since everything I listed above will have already happened and be over. Maybe I'll go make a big cup of coffee and see if some caffeine will kick it.
View Article  Body detox...
I'm still looking around to find a Body Detox that will suit me. They have some out there that last 2 days, others that last 4 days and some even longer. I'm wondering if I should try the shorter ones first just to make sure I even can do it. (Or that I even like it.) I've heard if I go to dualactioncleansenow.com I can find out how to start living a healthier life. The whole idea behind a colon cleanse is to eliminate the toxins which have built up over time in your digestive system. I can't even imagine how bad mine are. I've also heard that the Dual-Action Cleanse is one of the best out there on the market today. And by going on their website I can find out product information, read success stories and even see what ingredients are in their colon cleanse. I might go there right now and just buy it instead of always talking about it. And who knows, maybe you'll be reading my success story over there or on here soon enough!
View Article  Nyquil...
Is it possible for a medicine to make you feel even worse? Before I took Nyquil on Monday night I just had an awful cough and a headache which kept me up all night. So I thought I'd take Nyquil and get a good nights sleep! That didn't work so well. And it seems my cough is mostly gone, but I've not only now lost my voice but my ears are starting to hurt as well as my glands. This sucks. I can't feel like crap with the crazy weekend we've got coming up. My ears feel clogged. UGH! How do I have a cold when it's 80 degrees out?
View Article  One good thing about being sick...
is you don't eat much. Especially when it's a cold or something to do with your sinuses. I've had this cough now for weeks and it's finally caught up with me this week. I've lost my voice, I have no appetite and all I want to do is sleep! In fact, I slept all day yesterday, all night last night and did absolutely nothing today (but a few loads of laundry). And I just don't feel like eating. Maybe that means I've lost a few pounds? Now wouldn't that be nice! Although, I'll probably gain back anything lost once I start feeling better again.
View Article  Weight Watchers Yogurt...
Last week when I went grocery shopping, I had a coupon for Weight Watchers Yogurt. So I bought 6 of them. But as I was picking them out I noticed they don't have a huge variety to pick from. At least, where I went shopping didn't. I'm wondering if other grocery stores have a bigger or different variety. I had gone to Sweet Bay last week. Maybe next time I'll try Publix and see what they have. I haven't tried them yet. I'm not a huge fan of yogurt only because about an hour after eating it, my stomach hurts. But I thought I'd try a different brand this time and see.
View Article  Laughing Cow...
I LOVE Laughing Cow Cheese. In trying to stick with some sort of diet (and I've actually been doing really well) for lunch today I had a wedge of French Onion Laughing Cow cheese on 5 melba toasts. I hadn't had the French Onion before and it's really good. I thought I'd like it though just because I love French Onion anything, plus I love all of the other flavors of the Laughing Cow cheeses. And to drink I had a glass of Cherry Coke Zero. I've been doing really well on the soda intake too. We've only got diet sodas in the house. As long as it's not bought, it won't be drank!
