Hmmm? What are you getting your mother for Mother's Day this coming Sunday? Are you getting her flowers, or maybe one of those yummy chocolate gift baskets, or a day of pampering or maybe even some jewelry? I'm actually not getting my mom any of those things. My mom is one of those women that already has everything. So, this year, I got her a gift certificate to get her car washed - twice! I know - it's nothing glamorous, but I did put alot of thought into it. I really did. This time of year here in Florida we have what you call Love Bugs come out so no matter where you drive to, when you come home they're just about covering the front end of your car. Smushed, dead bugs that are hard to get off! But, since my mom will now have a GC to get her car washed she won't have to worry about those pestering bugs now will she????

Mother's Day is upon us in just a few days and Sean was asking me what I'd like for Mother's Day from the kids and from him. I told him I want my car washed professionally inside and out for starters. I then told him I'd like to go to the beach either Saturday or Sunday. Then he asked me if I'd like to upgrade my cell phone to a newer one which would have more things to do on it like the Verizon Smartphone or something along those lines (I have the Razr right now). I told him no, because even though it would be an upgrade, I don't think that would be a free upgrade and we can't afford that right now. I would like some Cell Phone Accessories though. Like I could definitely use a car charger. I don't have one of those and I'm always forgetting to charge my phone at night so that would definitely come in handy! I could also use a case for it as well because it's getting scratched up pretty badly sitting in my pocket book day to day. (I even found a pretty pink one that would go with the pink phone I already have). I already have the Bluetooth headset but I haven't used it yet and I've had the phone now for over a year. Other then that, I'm pretty set when it comes to my cell phone.

I woke up this morning and Tristan, Caelie and Kieran came into my bedroom with hugs and kisses and a huge handmade card for Valentine's Day. Then, we all walked out into the kitchen for breakfast to find tulips, candy a card for mommy from daddy. What a guy he is! I called to thank him and he answered the phone "Happy Valentine's Day!".

Tristan's home sick with a fever and the stomach bug, but I need to run to the store for food and stuff quickly. He's missing his Valentine's party at school. :(

The past 4 days have been filled with FOOD! I'm feeling so bloated and so fat, yet my clothes don't fit any tighter so that's a good thing right? One night it was a steak and bleu cheese salad, another night it was ham, another night pot roast. Wondering what we're eating tonight. I'm so not hungry. I'm hoping tonight is a free for all and we can eat what we want. I just might stick with a nice, big cup of water!!!!

Update: tonight was a free for all for dinner and most people had leftovers. I had a few crackers with cheese and that's it!

I'm done shopping except for 2 more little things for stockings! The last of my Christmas cards went out yesterday, I made my last stop to the post office today for mailing gifts, I got the kids teachers gifts today - I am done! I have a splitting headache so I can't wait to go and lie down for an hour before the kids get home but I'm psyched that I'm done!

Two wonderful people I know just started up their own online store and it's so cool! It's called Mom 4 Moms and I love the image on their home page up at the top left corner. It's perfect! So is the image on the homepage smack in the center.

They make some great stuff! Jenn makes awesome soaps! For kids and adults alike! She's got some great Autumn Leaves soaps as well as beautiful Rose Petals that look so real (I should know - I got some for my birthday this year) :) The soaps she makes for the kids are just adorable! Caelie would love the Nail Polish one (you fit it in there I see) and Kieran would love the Teddy Bear one. They would make great stocking stuffers and the prices are great!

Mara's works of art are just that - works of art! Her hand made jewelry is beautiful! I'm personally in love with one she had on the other day - the X Necklace. It's stunning! Maybe I'll tell Sean about it and he'll get it for me for Christmas! Mara also does Holiday Gift Items and Childrens Gifts as well as Visors and Accessories.

I'm finally getting into the Christmas spirit. Maybe it's because at church this morning we lit the first advent calendar - the candle for Hope. Or maybe it's because last night we attended a tree lighting ceremony up at the fields with good friends. Or maybe it's because this afternoon the kids, Sean and I put up our Christmas tree and decorated it and Sean and Tristan put up the outside lights. Or maybe it's a combination of all of these things. Whatever it is I am truly happy. I'm loving living here. I'm loving the friends we have here. I'm loving the fact that we will spending alot of time with both friends and family this entire month. And I'm just loving life in general!
