Having walked in the 3 Day last year, I knew exactly what I needed to go out and get for walking in it again this past October. I ran to the local pharmacy and stocked up on lots of Motrin, LOTS of blister band aids and second skin (for after the blister pops), and a tube of Freeze It. I remembered from last year my knees and my lower back killing me and I wanted to be prepared this year. I also didn't want to stink up the tent this year using one of those other greasy pain relief creams and I knew Freeze It would not do that.

Well, this year the walk was actually worse then last year. It was SO hot and humid - it was unbearable. And you all know when it gets hot and humid your muscles tend to cramp up and ache and scream at you. They definitely did that this year! If you look at the picture below you'll see both myself and my friend and teammate Colleen with our legs wrapped up. My calf felt like it was ripping at one point and her shin splints and knee ligament were killing her.

Luckily though, we had a tube of the Freeze It Gel in our packs so whenever we stopped, we rubbed it on. And what was nice about it was no one knew we had used it. Freeze It doesn't have that awful, old people smell to it like some of the other pain relief creams do. So we didn't stink. And, it's not greasy so we weren't constantly feeling like we had to wash our hands.

I'm walking again next year in another breast cancer walk and you can bet that I will definitely have a tube of Freeze It with me! How about giving two people who are walking for a good cause (and will also need it for training before the walk) some tubes of Freeze It????
