I was looking through all of the coupons last weekend from Sundays paper and I came across one that had an ad for Collectibles Today. The figurine caught my eye because it is called Driven By Hope and it's of Maxine the Mouse driving a pink motorcycle with the pink ribbon all over it and the mouse. For only $19.95 it's really cute. And the best part is that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this figurine will be donated to help in the fight against breast cancer. It actually reminds me of someone I know who has walked in two 3 day walks and is walking again this year as well AND loves to ride on the back of her husbands motorcycle.

I was just at Walgreens getting my prescriptions filled and I had about 20 minutes to walk around the store while I was waiting for them to fill them all so I decided to get some stuff we'd need for our trip in a little over a week. I slowly worked my way through the store (and $25 later) I came across these cool bandaids with the pink ribbon on them and they were on sale. I remember the past two 3 Day Walks always seeing someone wearing a pink ribbon bandaid but I never knew where they got them from. Now I know and I'll be saving this box for the Avon Walk next October!

You're probably wondering what a "BoBo" is right? PetSmart has them and I'm sure you've seen the commercial with the hotdog and his BoBo and he goes with his owner to PetSmart to buy a new one. We can't buy them for Knoxie because they last all of about 10 minutes, if that. She literally tears them apart so no stuffed toys for her. But, I needed a gift for my parents dog, Freckles and a gift for my brothers dog, Rory. Neither one of them eat biscuits or doggie snacks or anything like that (sensitive tummy's I'm guessing) but they like soft chew toys. I was just in CVS this morning and found a pink BoBo with the pink ribbon on it. Being both dogs are girls I thought it very fitting and am now done shopping for dogs!

Yes, you read that right. I was online looking for stuff to get Knoxie for Christmas, (yes, Santa brings stuff for the doggie too) and I found a website that sells Pink Ribbon dog products. I think that's so cool. And being Knoxie is a girl that's fitting! They have stuff from pink ribbon leashes to harnesses to collars and collar charms. They even have a pink ribbon engraved pet ID tag. I'd buy the collar for her but she's still a puppy just yet and is still in that chewing everything stage so I think I'll wait until she gets a bit older. We've already been through 4 leashes and about 2-3 collars. I like though how 15% of the net proceeds from each pink ribbon purchase is donated to Susan G. Komen For The Cure!

and October has come and gone. And I still see it everywhere! I just bought little packs of tissues with the pink ribbon on them for stocking stuffers for my mom and Syndi. I also just saw the pink ribbon on Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup at Sweet Bay this morning. I think that's so cool. Then I even saw it on nail file packets.
Someone once told me that when you're doing something that's good and right, you'll see signs for it everywhere. And I sure am! Wednesday, November 14

When I was first designing this website I searched the internet trying to find pink ribbon graphics. I hit the motherload when I found the website Pink Ribbons by Carol Sutton. The website is filled with pink ribbon designs made by people all over. They are all awesome and each one has the designers website or email next to it. You can be sure I'll be going there for any pink ribbon needs I may have.

My brothers girlfriend is an avid Hallmark Ornament collector and I got to see the 2007 Dream Book for the new ornaments coming out this year. They have a new Breast Cancer one which I unfortunately can't find a picture of online just yet. I don't think it's available for purchase until this October, but it's really pretty. You know that one will be on my list for sure!!!!

In Colts Neck, NJ there is this great little store called Folio Art Glass. What they make and sell in there is beautiful! I still get there flyers delivered to me to my brothers house. I found some great ideas for gifts there. They have something for everyone. I found a pretty Breast Cancer Ribbon suncatcher that I'd love. At the same time it also gave me an idea for a fundraiser. I used to paint suncatchers and will just have to get started again with it.
They have beautiful Seashore ones too, one of which I'm looking at for my mom. I wonder how fast their delivery is. I found perfect gifts for this Christmas! |
