There's a new information search engine out called Spock which is pretty cool. It's free and it's a search engine where you can search for information on people. You can do a search by either using the persons name or do a search by using tags such as New York Yankees, blonde hair, loves watching football, etc. You get the drift right? The site is not a social network, but they do have messaging. When you do perform a search for someone, you will also find links to their homepgae, their MySpace page, Wikipedia, their blog, etc. There are also pictures to look at as well.

One cool search I did shows people who are scientologists. Another one I did was of my all time favorite band leader David Gilmour and found so many facts on him. I found some awesome pictures as well.

Anyone who knows me knows what a HUGE Pink Floyd fan I am so of course I had to do a Pink Floyd search as well. All of the members from the band came up then - David Gilmour, Syd Barrett (the founder of Pink Floyd), Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. I just had the pleasure of seeing Roger Waters in concert last May. And what an awesome concert that was!

I found David Gilmour's official blog through this search engine too. Yay! I never knew one existed. I'm definitely adding that to my list of daily blog reads! I also found out by reading Spock, that David Gilmour's Album titled On An Island was voted as a best new album of 2006 by Record Collector Magazine. I don't have that album yet. I need to have that album now that I know about it. Having 3 kids makes me feel so out of the loop sometimes. But now that I have Spock to go and find out information, maybe I won't be SO out of the loop anymore!
