View Article  An intelligent water bottle?
OK, so I was going through the Sunday flyer's from yesterdays paper and came across one for Sports Authority where I found they're selling a new item called HydraCoach Intelligent Water Bottle. It sells for $29.99 and looks like a really cool water bottle. It calculates your personal hydration needs and it tracks your daily consumption for you. I think that's really neat considering when you're training for the 3 day or even walking in the 3 day itself hydration is of utmost importance. So to have that to do all the thinking for you is great. Just not sure I'm up to paying $30 for a water bottle. But, being I have bad kidneys and I don't always remember during a day how much water I've drank, it probably would be a good investment.

View Article  SO Excited!!!!
Ok, so a few months after we moved here to Fl. from NJ my parents decided they needed to be closer to their grandkids and put their house on the market and sold it. Well, the people moving into it applied to be on the TLC show Moving Up and got accepted. So, they filmed an episode for the show of my parents moving out and the new couple moving in and I just found out it's going to be aired on TLC Feb. 3rd. The show is titled Shipped Up, Spent Out and they have a neat write up about it at the site. If you have a chance on Sat. Feb. 3rd, watch it!!! I'll remind you all as it gets closer.

I absolutely LOVE this workout CD. It's awesome. I used it for the 1st time yesterday and did an upper body workout for 30 minutes. Did it again today and did a lower body workout for 30 minutes (Tristan did it with me too). Planning on getting up early tomorrow morning to workout again.
View Article  5-Hour Energy...
The other night Sean and I were watching TV and this commercial came on for this new product called 5-Hour Energy. This is exactly what I need but I'm wondering if it works. Has anyone out there tried it yet? I'm trying to cut down on my caffeine intake between soda and coffee. But around 1 or so I need some kind of get-up-and-go thing so I usually resort to a cup of coffee. This drink claims to give you that boost of energy that you need without all the side effects like jitters or crashing, etc. Hmmm, they sell it at Walgreens. I need to try it.
View Article  Vitamins...
So today I started a morning routine with taking vitamins. I've been slacking in that department and feeling it. I've got my daily one a day vitamin, my Vitamin C, a daily fiber supplement and also a teaspoon of Cod Liver oil (lemon taste). I have B-12 in my cabinet but not sure exactly what that's for so I'm not taking it just yet.
View Article  Out of shape....
is how I'm feeling lately! For Christmas I got the Yourself Fitness CD for Playstation 2 and I set it all up today. It requires a memory card so you can keep your profile and work out information right on it and don't have to redo it everytime you turn it on. So, today I got the memory card and set up my profile. I was out of breathe after setting it all up. LOL You have to enter your age, height, weight (ack), etc. and then do your resting heart rate. Well, after you do the resting one Maya (your personal trainer) wants an active one. So, she has you do jumping jacks for 2 whole minutes!!!!! Man was I out of breath! I can't believe how out of shape I've gotten since the 3 day in October. It's sad actually.

So, I'm all set up though on the cd to start working out. This workout is nice because it guarantees you never have the same workout. You also get to pick the music you work out to, let Maya know what workout equipment you have, pick the days you want to work out on (she lets you know when she thinks you should workout by your profile assessment), gives you meals based on calorie intake for the day (keeping mine at 1200), pick the duration of the workout (which she also tells you what she thinks your workout time should be-mine's 30 minutes right now) and also lets you pick if you want cardio, weight loss, upper body, lower body, etc. Right now I'm on a cardio routine on Tues., Thurs., Sat. and Sun. I'm planning on joining the YMCA tomorrow with a friend so the other days will be spent working out there. (Pretty excited about that too).

The other nice/cool thing about this workout disc is it also has a Yoga room, or a meditation garden you can *go* to after your workout. I think there's also pilates on it too.

So far it's really cool and I haven't even started working out with it yet. I might start it tomorrow morning so I'll let you know after that if I still like it. ;)

Jeremy Jacobs is a fellow blogger and also walking for breast cancer. He will be walking for 8 days in the UK from Margate to Maasai Mara. He has a blog to keep track of all his thoughts, and his training and fundraising just like I've been doing with this one. He walks in honor of his sister Jackie, wife and mother of 3, who lost her battle with breast cancer August 14th, 1988.

His fundraising target is £3,500.00 and currently he is at £2,989.08. So close. The walk takes place this February, 2007. He will be walking 125 miles over 8 days. So please, I know it's so close to the holidays being over, but if you have any cash leftover, please consider donating to such a great cause!

Ok, so who all made some New Years resolutions this for the 2007 year? I don't like to call them resolutions. To me when you call them that it sets them up for failure.

Sean and I are planning on doing a detox the beginning of February. (We're flying up to NJ for the weekend that 1st weekend in Feb. so we know that our eating/drinking habits then won't be too good so that's why we're waiting). I think we're going to do the Master Cleanse. It seems easy enough and affordable. Plus I've heard of others doing it as well and liking it. I was all set to buy all the supplies needed when I found an ad in the paper for another detox system called Whole Body Cleanse. Now I don't know which one to get. I had also thought of going the Shaklee route but that one would cost $200 for 1 person. Ouch! Not sure how much the Whole Body Cleanse one is. Have to check that out.
