The past 4 days have been filled with FOOD! I'm feeling so bloated and so fat, yet my clothes don't fit any tighter so that's a good thing right? One night it was a steak and bleu cheese salad, another night it was ham, another night pot roast. Wondering what we're eating tonight. I'm so not hungry. I'm hoping tonight is a free for all and we can eat what we want. I just might stick with a nice, big cup of water!!!!
Update: tonight was a free for all for dinner and most people had leftovers. I had a few crackers with cheese and that's it!

Friends of ours are going to Disney for Christmas break and are taking what they call one of their many "Kissimmee vacations". They're not staying in a hotel but are instead staying in a vacation rental home. Because they'll be there Christmas Day they wanted a homier feeling and are even bringing a tiny Christmas tree along with them to set up and have somewhere to put some of the little gifts they're bringing with them. I think that's such a cute idea. They'll be staying in Kissimmee but they'll only be minutes away from Disney World. I think the house their renting has game room in it too which her boys will love. I'm sad we won't be able to see them - they'll be there the same amount of time we'll be up in Jacksonville for the holiday. Hoping to catch up with them another time though.

So this is definitely not the time of year to be thinking of starting a diet. My mom was telling me about all of the food she's bought for the week we're there and I can see myself putting on pounds just thinking of it all. I'm just going to have to moderate the intake of it all and drink loads of water and I think (or I hope) I'll be okay. I always find I'm so bloated when we've been at my parents. And it's not their fault, I just like stuffing my face it seems. LOL I have set a goal for myself though that as soon as 2008 hits (ok, so maybe not New Years Day since we'll be up late the night before) I'm eating healthier and working out. And I'm not calling it a resolution or a diet because then it's bound to fail for me. Not sure what I'm calling it actually - guess it doesn't need a name or a label - it's just what it is.

If you own your own consumer business and are looking for a commercial shipping company that will ship e U.S., Canada and even do Mexico heavy haul then look no further. LGI Inc. is the company you need. They specialize in heavy haul transportation as well as over the road transportation. And becaue they have established contacts on both sides of the border, they can go to and from Mexico if needed. They use vans, flatbed, stepdeck, double drop, removable gooseneck and like I said above, specialized heavy haul trucking. They do NOT provide residential or household transportation.
If you're interested in using them for your shipping needs, it's good to note their website is very easy to navigate and easy to find just what it is you're looking for. They can ship automobiles, boats and any other heavy equipment you might need to ship. You can read about all of their heavy haul bid conditions right at their website as well. They also give you information about "All Risk" insurance coverage for whatever it is you're shipping. This is a great company for all of your heavy duty shippind needs.

You're probably wondering what a "BoBo" is right? PetSmart has them and I'm sure you've seen the commercial with the hotdog and his BoBo and he goes with his owner to PetSmart to buy a new one. We can't buy them for Knoxie because they last all of about 10 minutes, if that. She literally tears them apart so no stuffed toys for her. But, I needed a gift for my parents dog, Freckles and a gift for my brothers dog, Rory. Neither one of them eat biscuits or doggie snacks or anything like that (sensitive tummy's I'm guessing) but they like soft chew toys. I was just in CVS this morning and found a pink BoBo with the pink ribbon on it. Being both dogs are girls I thought it very fitting and am now done shopping for dogs!

When we go up to New York City for the Avon Walk we're going to have to make a hotel reservation to stay in a hotel the night before so we're right there. I'm sure as it gets closer to the actual walk we'll know the location of opening ceremonies and will be able to find a hotel near there. A friend of mine was telling me that when the time comes to use TravelHero.com. They provide discount hotel reservations and can help you find a great place to stay in hundreds of different cities in the U.S., Mexico, Canada and about 216 other countries. Not only can you find a hotel but you can also find flights, car rentals, activities and even vacation packages using the same website. If you're not comfortable booking any of your vacation needs online they also have an 800 number to call.
If I can persuade my husband to make the Avon Walk into a week trip we might need to look into renting a car. I'm not sure if we'd be flying or driving, but there's enough time right now to figure that all out. And yes, I have yet to even tell him I'm signed up.

I wish I could be there for it, but, since it's up in New York and I'm down here in Florida it looks like I can't. I'm wondering though if there's a way to meet others from this area that will also be walking in it. I'll have to roam around their site a little bit more when I have some free time. Here's some more info though on the party:

Are you or someone you know at risk for sudden Cardiac Arrest? If so you need to go and check out this website at insidecardiacarrest.com. It's a website designed to help get people informed about the dangers to everyone when it comes to cardiac arrest. It gives you information on the risk factors for SCA (sudden cardiac arrest) and also shows what you kinds fo questions you should be asking your physician. They have two very informative videos on their site that I highly recommend you watch. One is about Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the other is about the human heart. The videos aren't that long but are full of information everyone should know!

I'm done shopping except for 2 more little things for stockings! The last of my Christmas cards went out yesterday, I made my last stop to the post office today for mailing gifts, I got the kids teachers gifts today - I am done! I have a splitting headache so I can't wait to go and lie down for an hour before the kids get home but I'm psyched that I'm done!

When my Nana's alzheimer's got really bad, we had a Medical Alert ID bracelet made for her. A couple of times she left the house and no one knew where she was. One day she just walked out while my Pop was in the bathroom. Another day she was supposed to be going to get her hair done and she just drove around town (this was before my Pop realized how bad she was and that she shouldn't be driving - after that incident she drove no more). Had it not been for the bracelet we had made for her, I'm not sure she would have gotten back home as quickly as she did. They can save your life or the life of your loved one. People with drug allergies, food allergies, diabetes, alzheimers, stroke risk, special needs children and many others should definitely be wearing a medical ID piece of jewelry. It can be a bracelet or a necklace, a pendant or a charm or even a sports band. They offer you and your loved one peace of mind and are a must have!
