(Yes, it is a back porch - I refuse to call it a "lanai" - that just sounds too uppity for me!) Anyway, we are in desperate need of some nice outdoor furniture for our back porch or back patio if you'd rather call it that. Our chairs are nice enough but the table is that forest green plastic and to me is an eye sore. We've had it now for probably 7-8 years. We brought it with us from New Jersey when we moved here because we figured it would work until we found (and could afford) something better and nicer looking. No, we're still not at the point where we can afford something nicer, but sometimes it's nice just to look (and dream).

is seriously freaking me out tonight! I'm sitting here in the den watching TV, the kids are all in bed and the dog is out in the kitchen. She keeps growling at I don't know what. And a few minutes ago she just started barking. I haven't heard anything but we all know dogs have better, keener hearing then humans do. She's been sleeping in with me since Sean's been gone. I know that if I needed her, she could and would be our protector. Right now though she's freaking me out!

For spring break this year we're piling into our minivan and driving to North Carolina to spend the week in an AWESOME rental with some very good friends of ours. I cannot wait! One thing though I was wondering if we should look at and think about buying for our minivan are those van racks to put on the roof of the minivan. Being there's 5 of us we've got alot of stuff we need to bring. The contract says there are bed linens and towels and utensils enough for as many people that it can sleep so we're ok with all of that. And I know there is a washer and dryer there, but because we can't check into the house until 4pm on Sunday, I'm thinking we're going to need to bring a cooler full of food, plus all of our bags with clothes in them and of course you can't forget the beer! Then there's my laptop, camera, video camera and stuff for the kids to do. Although, the house is HUGE, has a game room, entertainment room and indoor/outdoor heated pool so I think the kids will have enough to do, don't you?
