I'm still not sure what to get Sean for his 40th birthday (even though his birthday was March 11th). There was no rush in getting him something since he's been away at work and won't be home until the end of next week. I was thinking something "golfy" but he already has a great set of golf clubs that he bought when we first moved down here 2 1/2 years ago. Maybe we can get him a gift certificate to an awesome golfing range around here, complete with a meal and some golf balls? Or, maybe just a night out for dinner with the family? I actually like the latter one better and being when he gets back he'll have been gone almost 6 weeks, I bet he'll like the dinner idea one better too.

Have you heard about the new cartoon that Britney Spears will have out soon - starring herself as the star character? Only, she's a cartoon. I guess she's out of all of the different drug rehabilitation centers she's been in lately and after her awful performance on that one show not too long ago thought it better she become a cartoon character? Well, when you make yourself into a cartoon you can make yourself look better then you do in real life. Plus, you can give the cartoon abilities that you don't have in real life as well. (Um, like being a good mother. Ooops, did I just say that out loud?) It will be interesting to see if this new cartoon flops or becomes a hit. Personally, I think the days of Spears are over.

We just got word not too long ago that a good friend of ours that lives across the ocean checked themselves into an alcohol rehab all on their own. And no one over there even knew this person was having a problem. We haven't seen this person in over two years just because of the distance, but apparently this past year things have gotten really bad for this person and they just kind of kept going downhill faster and faster. The scary thing is though, like I said before, no one even knew it. So either this person hid it very well and everyone else was so wrapped up in their own day to day stuff that they didn't see it. I'm glad this person is getting the help they need though. Good thoughts are coming their way!

is for the birds! Seriously! With it being 4 weeks since Sean left, I am exhausted and I now have a new found respect for any woman that does this alone. I know a few single moms, all with 2-3 kids or more and I don't know how you do it day in and day out. I am counting down the days until Sean gets back and right now we're at 9 more days. I'm beat and the past few days, by the time it's 2pm I'm ready for bed!
