"I finally took my head out of the sand and freed up my nostrils and filled them with good, clean air, and that good clean air was called Doing Something for Someone Else." -Norma Jean McKeldin, diagnosed age 39

View Article  Bad Credit Offers

If you're like my husband and you have bad credit, then you know how hard it is to not only get your credit rating score back up, but also to be able to apply for credit as well. It's tough! He's been thinking of getting one of those bad credit loans to help increase his credit rating and to pay off the creditors that he owes to. I told him to go to badcreditoffers.com which will help us get back on our feet. My credit rating is fine, but because he's the bread winner of the house, getting big loans such as a mortgage or car loan usually go by his rating first. And because his credit is bad, we then get the highest percentage rate on any loan which doesn't make it any easier. But the website I told him about helps people who suffer from bad credit by constantly checking the credit marketplace to show people like us which are the best bad credit offers that are out there. There was a point that we were out of this kind of debt and it felt awesome! How we got back here.....I don't know.
View Article  Last chance to crew for the Avon Walk!
I got an email this afternoon from the Avon Walk saying that if you want to be a crew member for the walk in October up in New York City, your chance to become one is running short. They're going to be closing applications to crew soon. So, if you or someone you know would like to join the crew team, you can do so by going online to www.avonwalk.org or by calling the New York Avon Walk Office at 212-586-8720. You can also email crew.newyork@avonwalk.org for more information.

With my foot the way it is, I'm wondering if I should have signed up to crew rather then walk.
View Article  Personal Loan...
Sean and I have discussed possibly taking out a Personal Loan to redo the carpet in our dining room and den and then get rid of the linoleum in the kitchen and the bathrooms. I hate the carpet that's in our dining room. Why do people put carpet on the floor of where you're going to be eating? Seriously? I don't understand it. But I'd love to be able to get rid of it and put tile down instead. Or even hardwood flooring. It would look so much better.

The linoleum in our kitchen is horrible looking. It used to be white (why white I have no idea), but years of people walking on it with bare feet have made it now yellow in some parts. And the white linoleum in the bathrooms around the toilets is now mildewed. Again, I ask you WHY WHITE??????

The only way we can do all of this though is by getting a personal loan. I've been doing some research on personalloansmania.com and I think I've found what we're looking for in a loan. Wish us luck!
View Article  Tootsie Roll fever...
Last week I found a bag of candy in our kitchen pantry that you'd use to put in a pinata. And it was still good to eat. Not sure where I got it from or how long it had been sitting in there, but it tasted fine. So fine in fact I've been pigging out on it lately - especially the Tootsie Rolls! Although, up until today I only allowed myself to have just one. Today though, I don't know what happened. Maybe I'm PMS'ing or maybe my old chocolate craving just took over but I think I ate like 5 of them in a row and within like 15 minutes. I even took one little chocolate Tootsie Roll and ate it with an orange Tootsie Roll and that tasted heavenly. Right now though, I'm feeling seriously ill! I think I might just go and throw the bag out.....right now! BLECH!
View Article  Halloween in May?
My little guy is already talking about Halloween and from what he's been saying, I think he wants to be a cowboy. I think he'd look so cute as a cowboy. And I bet finding him a cowboy costume and childrens cowboy boots wouldn't be hard at all. But what do I do with the other two? Every Halloween the 3 of them follow this tradition where they all wear costumes from one theme. One year it was Star Wars, another year Scooby Doo. Although last year they strayed from that. The boys were race car drivers and Caelie was Hannah Montana.

Oh well, it's only May. We've got loads of time to figure out Hallowen costumes out!
View Article  The Avon Walk...
I haven't been doing much fundraising at all for the Avon Walk this coming October. And I know why....I'm not sure I'm going to be able to walk in it for a number of reasons. First and formost, my left foot. When I ws 16 years old I had surgery done on both feet for bunions. They broke the bone and reset each by placing a pin in it to keep it in place. My right foot had to be redone about 8 years later but times had changed and they did laser surgery then by using a laser to chip away at the bone. My left foot was fine.

Until recently. Last year this time, I looked down at my left foot and I saw this little lump right about where the pin is. I didn't think anything of it, walked in the Breast Cancer 3 Day last October and seemed fine. Well, if you look at that little lump today it's gotten bigger and it now hurts and I'm starting to wonder if that pin is now trying to make it's way out of my foot. I don't even know if that's possible or not, but if it is and that is what's happening, I'm going to need surgery on that foot.

Now to reason two of why I might not be able to walk in the Avon Walk: my MIL is coming from Ireland the 1st week of October and is staying for 3 weeks. We have not seen her in over two years. Enough said about that.

And reason #3, airfare is insane!!!!!

I'm not saying right now that I'm definitely not walking in it. I'm going to first go to an orthopedic foot doctor and see what he/she has to say and then go from there.
