Hmmm? What are you getting your mother for Mother's Day this coming Sunday? Are you getting her flowers, or maybe one of those yummy chocolate gift baskets, or a day of pampering or maybe even some jewelry? I'm actually not getting my mom any of those things. My mom is one of those women that already has everything. So, this year, I got her a gift certificate to get her car washed - twice! I know - it's nothing glamorous, but I did put alot of thought into it. I really did. This time of year here in Florida we have what you call Love Bugs come out so no matter where you drive to, when you come home they're just about covering the front end of your car. Smushed, dead bugs that are hard to get off! But, since my mom will now have a GC to get her car washed she won't have to worry about those pestering bugs now will she????

I'm not a big fan of cats. Never have been, never will be. I think it could be because growing up I was allergic to cats to the point where, if I was at a friends house that had a cat, I wouldn't be able to breathe within an hourof being there. So, if I wanted to be able to stay and play there I had to take meds beforehand. And what little kids likes taking meds? So I guess that's why whenever I get an email about cat supplies I shiver and delete it quickly.
I also don't trust cats though. They're very sneaky and sly and I don't like that trait in a person let alone an animal. It's funny though because certain types of cats I was more allergic to then others. I couldn't go near a Siamese or Persian cat for more then 5 minutes. Doctors used to say it was their dander. My friend had a mixed cat growing up and that one I could actually be around and not have any asthma or watery, itchy eyes. Maybe the doc was right. Or maybe that cat just happened to be nicer then some of the others. ;)

I have the best of intentions when it comes to losing weight and working out. But that's all they are right now - intentions. I need to put those intentions into actions! Every night before going to bed I set my alarm for 6 and say "tomorrow morning I'll wake up and work out" and I never do. The alarm goes off and I reset it for 7:30 (the kids have to be up at 8) and I say to myself then "Ok, I'll drive the kids to school and then go up to the park and walk for an hour" and that never happens either because I always think of 1000 more things I *need* to be doing instead. What I *need* to do is get my butt in gear and just set aside time every other day and either walk or work out. I'll get to that point one of these days - I really will! ;)
